One Friday night in 2017, I was re-watching La La Land in a movie theatre. When the movie ended, I was browsing my socials and figured out it was Kat’s birthday. My battery was at 4%. I sent a message to Kat:

Huy happy birthday! Wru Just watched La La Land. Wanna go to a jazz bar? One last hurrah before your birthday ends Uhh Just got home but fine kk

Then my phone died. I was scrambling to look for convenience stores around the area offering charging stations. Found one. Booked an Uber to pick up Kat. It was a sort of adrenaline rush. It was our first time “going out” that is outside of the office... that is not work-related... What are we going to talk about aside from work? Why did she even agree to tag along??

Looking back, we jokingly tell each other that it was this very moment that led us to where we are now. That may be without this moment, we might not be where we are right now.

Is it safe to attend wedding these days?

We understand there might be some precautions to attend a wedding in this situation we are in. We have arranged swab tests outside the church for all guests to make sure we are all safe to gather.

We highly encourage everyone to schedule their vaccination appointment before the event, if you haven’t yet.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Dresscode is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies may do cocktail/long dresses, and gentlemen may opt to wear a suit/coat and tie is optional. You may refer to this sample attire.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Since Yuletide season has officially begun, please expect that weather might be chilly, esp in Tagaytay. Kindly bring a jacket/sweater/umbrella.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony; to make sure everyone is on time (plus swab test) and, we can get the party started as scheduled! There are plenty of parking spaces in the church, but note that it is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

What happens after the ceremony?

There will be a mini cocktail party in Antonio’s Lanai, where we will be serving finger food and liquor. Take pictures as much as you can! Sunset will be in this location. Dinner will follow at the Cabana.

Will snacks be provided before the ceremony?

Yes. Since the reception is an hour away from church, we will be serving light snacks prior ceremony. But we suggest to please fill your stomach first before leaving home.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to our wedding, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Can I bring a date?

Unfortunately, due to the strict headcount of the restaurant, we can't accommodate for plus one this time, but we are looking forward to seeing you at the event!

Is this a big party with grand celebration?

Heck no! We are gonna be as chill as we can be. No big fuss or no huge programs. We’re just here to celebrate, dine, and dance with with everyone!

Is there an after-party?

We figured eating and celebrating with us in the venue ain’t enough! More dancing and more drinking will follow at Pintoresco, 10 mins away from Antonio’s.

Should I bring swimwear?

Definitely! There’s a private pool party waiting for us. You may also bring gym clothes in case you wish to play table tennis/football in the location.
